Individual training sessions can be scheduled with one of our Performance Coaches or directly with Dr. Morgan our Sports Psychology specialist. These session can help individuals work on and develop skills that can assist in overcoming psychological/emotional issues, extreme stresses, pressure, performance anxiety, or to improve cognitive and neurological functioning. At Paragon we individualize sessions for the specific needs of the athlete/coach/performer/leader. These individual sessions use empirically based techniques to address issues valuable for peak performance but also are useful to improve stress responses, and emotional management in other domains of their life.
Why try performance psychology?
Often the thought of “seeing a psychologist” is uncomfortable for people because they view it as admittance of some sort of deficiency. Instead, the field of human performance should be seen as a path toward improving your cognitive and psychological strength just as you would while physical training. No one expects an Olympian to achieve extraordinary things without some sort of physical training. Similarly it’s this perspective of reaching peak performance through the use of cognitive training in our specially designed neurogym that can take you beyond average ability in multiple domains. This strength based approach can help you achieve your optimal performance, and your optimal performance won’t just help you in athletics or performance environments, but it will help you build toughness, flexibility, and resilience that will help improve your life as a whole.

“Performance psychology is a field with scientific background in neuroscience that has shown the combination of psychological ad physical components are what lead to optimal training in human performance. This human performance then affects, not only the task or goal at hand, but reaches out to other domains, strengthening skills that help throughout the lifespan.” Dr. Rob Morgan
